Sony has released the final official trailer for upcoming video game adaptation Uncharted, led by Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg. Watch that below, along with a behind-the-scenes look at the film’s major airplane sequence!

It’s been a long, long, longtime coming, but the Uncharted movie is almost upon us. Fingers firmly crossed we sidestep the video game-to-movie mediocrity that’s often delivered. As for the marketing thus far, it’s been mostly light and fun, focused on the big action and the charisma of our two stars. This should work well. I mean, if there’s a game franchise out there almost tailor-made for screen adaptations, Uncharted is certainly it.

The film is directed by Zombieland and Venom helmer Ruben Fleischer, working from a screenplay by Iron Man and Transformers: The Last Knight scribes Art Marcum and Matt Holloway.

Uncharted, also starring Antonio Banderas, Tati Gabrielle, and Sophia Ali, hits Australian cinemas on February 17th and U.S. cinemas on February 18th.

Official synopsis for Uncharted:

Street-smart Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) is recruited by seasoned treasure hunter Victor “Sully” Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg) to recover a fortune amassed by Ferdinand Magellan and lost 500 years ago by the House of Moncada. What starts as a heist job for the duo becomes a globe-trotting, white-knuckle race to reach the prize before the ruthless Santiago Moncada (Antonio Banderas), who believes he and his family are the rightful heirs. If Nate and Sully can decipher the clues and solve one of the world’s oldest mysteries, they stand to find $5 billion in treasure and perhaps even Nate’s long-lost brother…but only if they can learn to work together.
