Australia: We’re giving away tickets to the hugely acclaimed coming-of-age picture AFTERSUN, hitting cinemas on February 23!
The feature film debut from writer/director Charlotte Wells, Aftersun tells the story of Sophie, who reflects on the shared joy and private melancholy of a holiday she took with her father twenty years earlier. Memories real and imagined filling the gaps between miniDV footage as she tries to reconcile the father she knew with the man she didn’t.
Aftersun enjoyed a rave-filled reception on the festival circuit, receiving wide praise from critics and audiences alike; the film currently has an impressive 95% on Rotten Tomatoes, for example. The film boasts highly lauded performances from up-and-coming child star Frankie Corio and Paul Mescal (Normal People, The Lost Daughter), the latter of whom has received a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination for his standout work here.
