Following the teaser trailer released last month, Netflix has released the full-length official trailer for upcoming war drama All Quiet on the Western Front – a film that looks to be packing one hell of a punch.

Based on the 1929 bestselling novel by German veteran WWI veteran Erich Maria Remarque (previously adapted into a 1930 Best Picture-winner directed by Lewis Milestone and a 1979 TV movie directed by Delbert Mann), All Quiet on the Western Front tells the gripping story of a young German soldier on the Western Front of World War I. Paul (played by Felix Kammerer) and his comrades experience first-hand how the initial euphoria of war turns into desperation and fear as they fight for their lives, and each other, in the trenches.

Edward Berger (Your Honor, The Terror, Patrick Melrose) directs the German-language picture, with a cast that also includes Daniel Brühl, Albrecht Schuch, Sebastian Hülk, Aaron Hilmer, Edin Hasanovic and Devid Striesow.

All Quiet on the Western Front will be streaming on Netflix from October 28th and will be in select U.S. cinemas from the same day.
