Disney+ has released a new trailer for Andor season 2, offering another look at what promises to be a gripping conclusion to the critically acclaimed Star Wars series. With Diego Luna returning as Cassian Andor, this final season will lead directly into the emotional events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Take a look above.
Once again created by Tony Gilroy, the series continues its slow-burn exploration of rebellion and sacrifice. While many of Star Wars‘ live-action offerings have leaned into legacy characters and fan service, Andor carved its own path in season 1 with political tension, complex characters, and an uncompromising tone. The new trailer suggests season 2 won’t be letting up.

“I came with you to be part of something,” Andor says. He’s no longer the reluctant participant we met in season 1—this is a man fully embedded in a movement that’s taking shape across the galaxy. “The Empire cannot win,” he declares, while Adria Arjona’s Bix adds, “If I’m going to give up everything, I wanna win. We have to.”
The trailer provides more glimpses of returning players: Stellan Skarsgård’s Luthen Rael, Genevieve O’Reilly’s Mon Mothma, and Forest Whitaker’s Saw Gerrera all make appearances. Ben Mendelsohn is also back as Orson Krennic, seen uttering the coldly dismissive, “Resistance is absurd.” It’s a chilling echo of the Empire’s tightening grip, and a reminder of what’s at stake.
One of the most striking moments is the early discovery of the Death Star—“It’s a weapon!” Kleya Marki (Elizabeth Dulau) exclaims. “They’re building a weapon!” With knowledge of the Empire’s growing power now beginning to spread, the rebels face a countdown they don’t even fully understand yet.
Andor season 2 will unfold over 12 episodes, broken down into four chapters of three episodes each. It kicks off on April 22 on Disney+.
