Barry Berkman (Bill Hader) and Gene Cousineau (Henry Winkler) are gearing up for a showdown of sorts in the third season of HBO‘s fantastic dark-comedy series Barry, which you should really check out if you still haven’t.

HBO has released the official trailer for the upcoming third season, which fans have been forced to wait almost three years for (damn pandemic). As they say, good things come to those who wait – and the next chapter looks like a doozy. It looks like it’s all about to really hit the fan following the shocking conclusion of season 2, which saw Monroe Fuches (Stephen Root) tell Gene just who was responsible for the murder of Detective Janice Moss.

Suffice it to say, Barry doesn’t feel great about everything that’s gone down. Luckily for him, NoHo Hank (Anthony Carrigan) is still around and has some words of wisdom. “Forgiveness is something that has to be earned,” Hank says. “It’s like that line in Shawshank Redemption: ‘Get Rich or Die Tryin.'” It’s the thought that counts, right?

Can. Not. Wait. Barry season 3, also starring Sarah Goldberg, Michael Irby, and Sarah Burns, among others, will be kicking off on HBO in the U.S. on April 24th and Binge in Australia on April 25th.
