Marvel Studios has unveiled the official full-length trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, showcasing some very exciting new footage from the follow-up to Marvel’s hit 2018 film led by the late Chadwick Boseman.
The film finds Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba) reeling from the death of King T’Challa. As the trailer shows, intervening world powers pose a big threat upon the rise of ancient civilisation Talocan, led by ruler Namor (played by Tenoch Huerta). As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda.
The trailer concludes with a look at the new Black Panther, although continues to keep the identity of who it is that will take on the mantle a secret. Many assume Shuri will be taking on the role.
Black Panther director Ryan Coogler returns at the helm, again directing from a screenplay he wrote with Joe Robert Cole. The film’s cast includes Dominique Thorne, Isaach de Bankolé, Dorothy Steel, Danny Sapani, Michaela Coel, Mabel Cadena and Alex Livinalli, among others.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever opens in Australian cinemas on November 10th and U.S. cinemas on November 11th. Oh, and some good news for those wanting to get their hands on tickets as soon as possible: tickets are now available purchase!
