Based on the real events of a family that relocated from England to a sundrenched Greek island.

Adapted from the memoirs of respected conservationist, Gerard Durrell, the series follows a financially struggling widowed mother played by Keeley Hawes (Line of Duty, Spooks, Ashes to Ashes) who moves her family from Bournemouth to the sunny Greek island of Corfu. Here the family adjusts to a simpler way of life during the 1930s.

The Durrells has received two Royal Television Society awards and four BAFTA Award nominations. The series has received four stars from The Guardian UK and 94% rating from Rotten Tomatoes.

Also starring Callum Woodhouse (All Creatures Great and Small) and Josh O’Connor (The Crown).

A woman who can’t escape death and is reborn into different lives.

This four-part series is adapted from Kate Atkinson’s acclaimed 2013 novel. Life After Life is a period drama that tells the story of Ursula Todd, who dies in 1910 before she can draw her first breath. However, this sparks the start of a series of new, alternative lives as Ursula is reborn and survives time and time again. The story follows Ursula as she navigates her many lives, which span two world wars, an encounter with Hitler, and major historical and life events of the twentieth century.

Life after Life has received a five star review from The Times and four star rating from The Guardian UK and Radio Times.

Starring Thomasin McKenzie (Jojo Rabbit), Sian Clifford (Quiz, Fleabag), Jessica Brown Findlay (Downton Abbey), Sean Delaney (Killing Eve), James McArdle (Mare of Easttown). Narrated by Lesley Manville (Magpie Murders, Mum).

A real look into the inspiration behind James Herriot’s All Creatures Great and Small.

A documentary series following the practice staff of Skeldale Veterinary Centre in Thirsk, North Yorkshire. Skeldale Veterinary centre is the same surgery where notable British veterinary surgeon James Herriot worked and found his inspiration for his collection of semi-autobiographical writings, All Creatures Great and Small.

This book series later turned into the renowned 1978-1990 television series and rebooted in 2020 with seasons one and two streaming exclusively on BritBox.

AUGUST 25

A British army major cheats his way to win a gameshow.

QUIZ tells the true story of Charles Ingram, a former British army major who caused a major scandal after being caught cheating his way to winning £1 million on the game show ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?’.

Starring Matthew Macfadyen (Spooks, Succession, Pride & Prejudice), Sian Clifford (Life After Life, Fleabag), Mark Bonnar (Shetland, Line of Duty) and Michael Sheen (Staged).

AUGUST 30

Each season of Criminal Justice follows a different storyline that explores of the challenges and politics of the criminal justice system, seen through the eyes of the accused.

Season 2 stars Matthew MacFadyen (Spooks, Quiz) and Maxine Peake (The Village, Silk).
