‘Daredevil: Born Again’: Disney+ Unveils Official Trailer, Release Date for Marvel Series

The Devil of Hell’s Kitchen is back. Disney+ has unveiled the official trailer for Daredevil: Born Again, the highly anticipated revival of the beloved Netflix series – now part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And get to marking that calendar: the series will premiere on Disney+ on 5 March.

A Collision of Justice and Corruption

The trailer wastes no time setting up the stakes, unveiling a reunion and teasing an inevitable clash between Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk. Murdock, now out of the vigilante game, finds himself reluctantly drawn back into action. Meanwhile, Fisk is no longer just a mob boss – he’s the mayor of New York City. Fisk’s campaign is anything but squeaky clean, and his shadowy manoeuvres promise a high-stakes battle for the soul of the city.

It appears that fans who were worried about Daredevil’s Netflix-era edge being softened for Disney+ can relax. The trailer confirms that this new chapter hasn’t shied away from the grit and brutality that made the original series a hit. In fact, it seems to be leaning into it, with bone-crunching fights and a darker tone evident throughout the trailer.

Familiar Faces and New Allies

Fans of the original series will be happy to see familiar characters returning. Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson reprise their roles as Karen Page and Foggy Nelson, Matt’s closest confidants. And importantly, Jon Bernthal returns as Frank Castle, aka The Punisher.

Kamar de los Reyes debuts as Hector Ayala, better known as White Tiger, a street-level hero empowered by a mystical amulet.

On the villainous side, Wilson Bethel’s chilling Bullseye makes a return. And there’s a new antagonist being teased – the macabre Muse, known for his horrifying “art” installations crafted from his victims.

The Team Behind the Revival

Daredevil: Born Again comes from showrunner Dario Scardapane, who also worked as executive producer and a writer on Marvel-Netflix series The Punisher. The directing team includes Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead (the Spring and Synchronic filmmakers who also helmed episodes of Marvel shows Loki and Moon Knight), Michael Cuesta (episodes of Homeland, Kill the Messenger), Jeffrey Nachmanoff (Traitor, episodes of Homeland), and David Boyd (episodes of The Walking Dead). Marvel heavyweights Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Brad Winderbaum serve as executive producers.

Mark Those Calendars

Daredevil: Born Again is – if we’re going by the promising trailer – shaping up to be a must-watch for fans old and new. Fingers crossed it delivers. The series premieres on Disney+ on 5 March.
