Peacock has unveiled the first trailer for Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy, what looks like a hard-hitting documentary shedding light on Sean “Diddy” Combs’ rise, reign, and ruin. The 90-minute feature promises to unpack the complex forces that shaped Combs into a global icon—and the darker allegations that now dominate his legacy.
The trailer wastes no time diving into the controversy. “Honestly, I didn’t want to be around him unless there was cameras,” admits one former associate. Through interviews with ex-bodyguards, childhood friends, and industry insiders, along with never-before-seen footage of Combs’ hedonistic lifestyle, the documentary looks to paint a stark picture of the man behind the music empire and the shocking allegations.
One particularly haunting revelation comes from an anonymous source who claims, “Anytime a studio or any room is red, he’s making love and sex. Some of the girls who were in the room, for sure, they were underage.”
Al B. Sure!, the singer-songwriter and producer who worked with Combs at Uptown Records, makes his first public statement since Combs’ arrest. “Something is not right with this,” he remarks, hinting at the growing unease within Combs’ orbit long before his downfall.
Combs now faces over two dozen lawsuits alleging sexual misconduct, alongside federal charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. The mogul remains incarcerated at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn as he awaits trial in May. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy will be streaming on Peacock from 14 January.
