Take a look at the tense first trailer that’s flown in for Hijack, an Apple TV+ limited series starring Idris Elba.

The thriller series is told in real time and tells of a seven-hour flight – hence, seven episodes – from Dubai to London that is hijacked. While authorities on the ground scramble for answers, one man in particular may be their best bet on board the flight: Sam, attempting to use his negotiating skills to broker a peaceful end to the hijacking.

The series comes from Lupin creators George Kay and Jim Field Smith (Criminal), who serve as writer and lead director of the series respectively. Elba is also attached as executive producer; it’s the first project to come from the first-look deal Elba’s Green Door Pictures made with Apple in 2020.

Hijack, with a cast that also includes Archie Panjabi (The Good Wife), Christine Adams, Max Beesley, Eve Myles, Neil Maskell, Jasper Britton, Harry Michell, Aimee Kelly, Mohamed Elsandel and Ben Miles, will premiere on Apple TV+ on June 28th.
