Take a look at the trailer that Netflix has released for upcoming Polish series Hold Tight, the streamer’s next Harlan Coben adaptation as part of their multi-year deal with the author. Netflix’s previous Coben adaptations include The Stranger, The Woods, The Innocent, and Gone for Good.
The series is based on Coben’s 2008 novel of the same name and follows the residents of a peaceful neighborhood in the Warsaw suburbs. Their idyllic lives come to an abrupt end when a teenager, Adam, vanishes into thin air, pushing the parents to find answers to questions they have never wanted to ask.
And while this isn’t an all-out direct sequel to The Woods, Netflix’s 2020 Coben series from Poland, it will be serving up some answers relating to it. As Coben said when Hold Tight‘s cast was announced in 2021:
“I’m very excited to be collaborating again with Netflix and these talented Polish creators. I hope viewers in Poland and around the world will be gripped by the twists and turns in Hold Tight and I am delighted that they will not only meet the new protagonists played by Magdalena and Leszek, but also find out what happened to Laura and PaweĂ â after The Woods.”
Magdalena Boczarska (The Art of Loving: Story of Michalina Wislocka) and Leszek Lichota (Corpus Christi) lead the cast of the series, with direction coming from MichaĂ â Gazda (The Border) and Bartosz Konopka (Sword of God).
All six episodes of Hold Tight will be streaming on Netflix from April 22nd.
