Over a year since the exciting season one finale, our first look at House of the Dragon season 2 has finally arrived!

The official teaser trailer has been unveiled, showcasing snippets of what looks like a doozy of a follow-up as House Targaryen continues to implode. “There is no war so hateful to the Gods, as a war between kin,” says Rhaenys Targaryen (played by Eve Best). “And no war so bloody, as a war between dragons.”

Along with the trailer, new cast member announcements for season 2. Returning cast members include Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, and Rhys Ifans, among others. Among the new cast: Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, and Matthew Needham. They join previously announced season 2 newcomers including Abubakar Salim as Alyn of Hull, Gayle Rankin as Alys Rivers, Freddie Fox as Ser Gwayne Hightower, and Simon Russell Beale as Ser Simon Strong.

No official release date has yet been announced. When House of the Dragon season 2 does arrive, those in Australia can stream it on Binge and those in the U.S. can stream it on HBO.
