Watch the official teaser trailer that Disney and Pixar have released for Inside Out 2, the sequel to the 2015 global hit.

The teaser showcases a chaotic scene in Riley’s head as she enters her teenage years. It’s time to introduce a new emotion: Anxiety. The film’s original cast, including Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, and Lewis Black, returns, with Stranger Things star Maya Hawke voicing Anxiety. Tony Hale and Liza Lapira join as Fear and Disgust, respectively.

It’s a little surprising that it’s taken around nine years to get a follow-up to the fantastic, Oscar-winning first film, considering the wide praise and a worldwide gross of nearly $US858 million. Let’s hope the wait will have been well worth it.

The film is the feature debut for director Kelsey Mann, a longtime storyboard artist who wrote and directed 2013 Monsters, Inc. short, Party Central.

Inside Out 2 is set for Australian release on June 13th and U.S. release on June 14th, 2024.
