Sony has unveiled the first trailer for the anticipated Ghostbusters: Afterlife sequel, titled Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire.

We catch up with Egon Spengler’s family: daughter Callie (Carrie Coon) and grandkids Phoebe (Mckenna Grace) and Trever (Finn Wolfhard). When a scorching New York City suddenly faces a “death chill” thanks to an ancient evil, the Spenglers join forces with original Ghostbusters – Peter Venkman (Bill Murray), Ray Stanz (Dan Aykroyd), and Winston Zeddemore (Ernie Hudson) – to thaw the city.

Patton Oswalt and Kumail Nanjiani join the cast, with Paul Rudd reprising his role as Gooberson.

The movie is directed by Gil Kenan, whose credits include animated film Monster House, City of Ember, and 2015’s Poltergeist. Kenan co-wrote the first film alongside director Jason Reitman; the two reunited to pen the sequel.

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire will open in Australia on March 28th and in the U.S. on March 29th, 2024.
