To celebrate the Australian theatrical release of Jimpa, in cinemas from February 19, Screen Realm has teamed up with Kismet Movies to give away double passes!

From acclaimed director Sophie Hyde (Good Luck to You, Leo Grande), Jimpa is a heartfelt, multi-generational family story that blends warmth, humour and emotional honesty. The film stars Olivia Colman as Hannah, who travels to Amsterdam with her teenage child Frances (Aud Mason-Hyde) to reconnect with her estranged father, Jim — or “Jimpa” — played by John Lithgow.

Set against the backdrop of a vibrant, politically engaged Amsterdam, the film explores family bonds across generations, queer identity, and the quiet complexities that sit beneath even the most loving relationships. With its gentle touch and open-hearted storytelling, Jimpa is less about tidy answers and more about learning to live with the messiness of family history.
