The trailer has arrived for MaXXXine, the third film in the trilogy that kicked off with horror film X and continued on with horror-drama prequel Pearl, both produced in 2022.
The film catches up with adult film star and aspiring actress Maxine (trilogy star Mia Goth reprising the character she played in X) in 1980s Hollywood. It appears that she’s finally getting her big break… just as a mysterious killer stalks the starlets of Hollywood and a trail of blood threatens to reveal her sinister past.
Director Ti West returns as director and screenwriter, with perhaps the most impressive ensemble in the film series thus far. Goth stars alongside Elizabeth Debicki, Moses Sumney, Michelle Monaghan, Bobby Cannavale, Lily Collins, Halsey, Giancarlo Esposito, and Kevin Bacon.
MaXXXine will be opening in US cinemas on July 5th and Australian cinemas on August 1st.
