‘Nine Perfect Strangers’ Season 2 Trailer: Nicole Kidman Leads a New Group Into Psychedelic Chaos in the Alps

The official trailer for season 2 of Nine Perfect Strangers is here, taking the wellness drama to snowier territory — the Austrian Alps — and introducing a fresh lineup of guests who may not know what they’ve signed up for. Nicole Kidman reprises her role as the enigmatic Masha Dmitrichenko, who once again offers “transformation” through unorthodox means — and this time, it’s even more personal. Trailer above and more info below.

In the trailer, Masha welcomes nine new strangers to her alpine retreat, where the snow is thick, the robes are white, and the psychological damage is layered. “Sometimes you shouldn’t deal with pain gently,” she tells them, as hallucinogenic therapy sessions begin and tensions rise. One guest (King Princess) wonders aloud, “Wait, this is not a spa?” while another (Christine Baranski) deadpans, “She’s going to bleach our brains, darling.”

As guests — including characters played by Mark Strong, Henry Golding, Annie Murphy, Lena Olin, and Murray Bartlett — dive into their trauma, Masha is forced to confront her own. “You came to me a broken woman,” she is told. “And you break everyone you try to heal.”

Based once again on Liane Moriarty’s bestselling novel and created by David E. Kelley, the second season expands the anthology with an all-new story, new secrets, and the same heady cocktail of satire, psychedelics, and spiritual manipulation. The cast also features Lucas Englander, Dolly de Leon, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, and Aras Aydin.

Season 2 of Nine Perfect Strangers premieres with two episodes on May 21 in the U.S. on Hulu, and May 22 internationally (including Australia) on Prime Video. New episodes will roll out weekly.
