Our first look at Christopher Nolan‘s next film, Oppenheimer, has arrived in the form of a “live” release date countdown teaser.
The buzzed-about film stars Cillian Murphy as theoretical physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer and looks at his time at the Los Alamos Laboratory during the Manhattan Project; specifically, the events surrounding the creation of the atomic bomb in 1945.
There’s one hell of a cast here, including (deep breath now) Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr., Florence Pugh, Rami Malek, Kenneth Branagh, Gary Oldman, Josh Hartnett, Benny Safdie, Dane DeHaan, Jack Quaid, Matthew Modine, Alden Ehrenreich, David Krumholtz, and Michael Angarano.
The film reunites Nolan with Interstellar, Dunkirk and Tenet cinematographer Hoyte Van Hoytema; Tenet editor Jennifer Lame (Hereditary, Manchester by the Sea); and Tenet composer Ludwig Göransson (Black Panther, Creed).
Oppenheimer is lined up for Australian release on July 20th and U.S. release on July 21st, 2023.
