The first trailer has arrived for the third film in the much-loved Paddington franchise, Paddington in Peru. Take a look above.

The beloved bear heads to Peru to visit his beloved Aunt Lucy, who now resides at the Home for Retired Bears. With the Brown Family in tow, a thrilling adventure ensues when a mystery plunges them into an unexpected journey through the Amazon rainforest and up to the mountain peaks of Peru.

Returning cast members include Ben Whishaw as Paddington Brown, Imelda Staunton as Aunt Lucy, Hugh Bonneville as Henry Brown, Emily Mortimer as Mary Brown, Madeleine Harris as Judy Brown, Samuel Joslin as Jonathan “J-Dog” Brown, Julie Walters as Mrs. Bird, and Jim Broadbent as Samuel Gruber. The new film brings in Olivia Colman as The Reverend Mother, Antonio Banderas as Hunter Cabot, and Carla Tous as his daughter, Gina Cabot. The latter was originally to be played by Rachel Zegler, who was forced to leave the project due to the SAG-AFTRA strike.

The third chapter is the first in the franchise not directed by Paul King, who stays attached to the film series as executive producer and is among the three with a ‘story by’ credit here. At the helm this time is Dougal Wilson, making his feature directorial debut. Wilson’s credits include commercials for companies such as Apple and music videos for the likes of Coldplay and The Streets.

Paddington in Peru will be opening in the UK on November 8th, 2024, in Australia on January 1st, 2025, and in the US on January 17th, 2025.
