A big new trailer has been released for Peter Pan & Wendy, the upcoming Disney+ feature film that reimagines the J. M. Barrie novel and Disney’s 1953 animated classic.
The plot follows Wendy Darling (Ever Anderson, who played a Young Natasha in Black Widow), a young girl afraid to leave her childhood home behind, who meets Peter Pan (Alexander Molony), a boy who refuses to grow up. Alongside her brothers and a tiny fairy, Tinker Bell (Yara Shahidi, Black-ish), she travels with Peter to the magical world of Never Land. There, she encounters an evil pirate captain, Captain Hook (Jude Law), and embarks on a thrilling and dangerous adventure that will change her life forever.
The film is directed by David Lowery, who directed 2016 Disney remake Pete’s Dragon and whose credits include Ain’t Them Bodies Saints, The Old Man & the Gun, and The Green Knight. Lowery also penned the screenplay with longtime collaborator Toby Halbrooks (the two penned Pete’s Dragon).
Peter Pan & Wendy, also starring Molly Parker, Alan Tudyk, and Jim Gaffigan, among others, will be streaming on Disney+ from April 28th.
