An adaptation of the 2018 novel of the same name by Karin Slaughter, Pieces of Her tells of what unfolds after Andy (Heathcote) witnesses her mother, Laura (Collette), violently eliminate a threat at a local diner. The incident sets off an unexpected chain of events, pushing Andy on a dangerous journey across America, drawing her towards the dark, hidden heart of her family.
The eight-episode series comes from Charlotte Stoudt, working as showrunner, writer, and executive producer. Stoudt’s previous credits include co-executive producing mini-series Fosse/Verdon and working as supervising producer on House of Cards. Bruna Papandrea, Lesli Linka Glatter and Minkie Spiro are also on the exec producer team, with Spiro also director of all eight eps.
Production on the series took place in Western Sydney as part of the NSW Government’s Made in NSW fund, managed by Screen NSW.
Pieces of Her, also starring David Wenham, Jessica Barden, Joe Dempsie, Jacob Scipio, and Omari Hardwick, will be streaming on Netflix from March 4th.
