The final game is about to begin. Netflix has officially announced the release date for Squid Game‘s third and final season. Mark those calendars: June 27. The news was revealed by Netflix’s Head of Content, Bela Bajaria, during the Next on Netflix event. The streaming giant also unveiled the first poster and dropped first-look stills, which you can check out below.
Following the dramatic conclusion of Season 2, the closing chapter will find Lee Jung-jae’s Gi-hun grappling with the weight of his choices in the wake of the brutal competition. And as Lee Byung-hun’s enigmatic Front Man positions himself to make his next move, the remaining contestants find themselves trapped in even deadlier games, their decisions leading to ever-mounting consequences.

The striking new poster features one of the show’s signature pink-clad guards dragging a bloodied contestant toward a coffin wrapped in a pink ribbon—an ominous hint at the violent battles ahead. Notably, the poster also teases the return of Young-hee, the eerie animatronic doll from season 1, alongside Cheol-su, her previously teased male counterpart.
The South Korean phenomenon remains a dominant force for Netflix. The second season amassed 68 million views upon release, ranking as the third most-watched season on the platform and holding the #1 spot in 92 countries. Expectations are, of course, very high for another record-breaking success.
Squid Game season 3 premieres June 27 on Netflix.
