We had the pleasure of chatting with directors Danny Philippou and Michael Philippou, who are also known for their not-for-those-with-a-weak-stomach YouTube channel, The RackaRacka. The Philippou brothers are making their feature directorial debut with acclaimed horror film TALK TO ME, which opens in Australian cinemas on July 27th and U.S. cinemas on July 28th.
We discuss what they learned making their first film, how the concept developed in the first place, what they would do differently in the filmmaking process going forward, whether there were limitations imposed on them with the film’s violence, and if they have an idea for where they would go with a potential sequel.

Starring Sophie Wilde, Miranda Otto, Zoe Terakes, and Samoan-Kiwi Chris Alosio, the film tells of what unfolds when a group of friends discover how to conjure spirits using an embalmed hand. They become hooked on the new thrill, until one of them goes too far and unleashes terrifying supernatural forces.
