Marvel Studios has unveiled a big new trailer for The Marvels, the upcoming MCU feature uniting superheroes Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel (Brie Larson), Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel (Iman Vellani), and Captain Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris).

The 33rd (!) film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe catches up with Captain Marvel, who has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilised universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan, Kamala Khan, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team-up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as “The Marvels.”

The trailer offers up plenty of new footage, including a better look at the film’s villain, Kree warrior Dar-Benn, played by Zawe Ashton (Velvet Buzzsaw, The Handmaid’s Tale).

The cast also includes Gary Lewis, Park Seo-Jun, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Saagar Shaikh, and Samuel L. Jackson, the latter reprising his role as Nick Fury.

The Marvels, directed by Nia DaCosta (2021’s Candyman, Crossing the Line) and written by DaCosta, Megan McDonnell (WandaVision), Elissa Karasik (Loki), and Zeb Wells (She-Hulk: Attorney at Law), is set to open in Australian cinemas on November 9th and U.S. cinemas on November 10th.
