Watch the trailer above for The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare, Guy Ritchie‘s fun and bloody-looking WWII spy film boasting a cast that includes Henry Cavill, Eiza González, Alan Ritchson, and Cary Elwes, among many others.

Loosely based on the book Churchill’s Secret Warriors: The Explosive True Story of the Special Forces Desperadoes of WWII by author Damien Lewis, the film tells the story of the first-ever special forces organisation formed during WWII by UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill and a small group of military officials – including James Bond author Ian Fleming.

The top-secret combat unit, composed of a motley crew of rogues and mavericks, goes on a daring mission against the Nazis using entirely unconventional and utterly “ungentlemanly” fighting techniques. Ultimately their audacious approach changed the course of the war and laid the foundation for the British SAS and modern Black Ops warfare.

Ritchie directed the film from a screenplay adaptation he penned with The Fighter scribes Paul Tamasy and Eric Johnson, and A Private War writer Arash Amel.

The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare, also starring Alex Pettyfer, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Babs Olusanmokun, Henrique Zaga, Til Schweiger, and Henry Golding, will open in Australia on April 19th and the U.S. on April 21st.
