The teaser trailer for The White Lotus season three has arrived, offering a glimpse of the chaos, tension, and sharp satire fans have come to expect. This time, the Emmy-winning series trades the shores of Hawaii and Sicily for Thailand, diving into the lives of new guests and staff at another White Lotus resort. Take a look above.
The 90-second teaser hints at the season’s focus on Western curiosity about Eastern spirituality, a theme creator Mike White has teased before. Among the lavish parties and meditative retreats, there’s the unmistakable sense of unease. A Buddhist monk muses, “Everyone runs from pain towards pleasure, but they get there only to find more pain.” And, in keeping with tradition, the trailer features a body bag—someone won’t be checking out.
The ensemble cast includes Jason Isaacs as Timothy Ratliff, a wealthy businessman vacationing with his wife Victoria (Parker Posey) and their three children, including religion studies major Piper (Sarah Catherine Hook), high school senior Lochlan (Sam Nivola), and Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger), who works for his father’s company. Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, and Michelle Monaghan play longtime friends on a reunion girls’ trip, while Walton Goggins appears as Rick, a rugged man travelling with his free-spirited girlfriend Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood). Natasha Rothwell reprises her fan-favourite role as Belinda, the spa manager from season one, now in Thailand on an exchange program.
Adding to the intrigue is Lalisa Manobal (Lisa from South Korean girl group Blackpink), making her acting debut as Mook, a health mentor and resort dancer, alongside Tayme Thapthimthong as Gaitok, a resort security guard. Rounding out the cast are Lek Patravadi as Sritala, a co-owner of the resort with a vision for wellness, and a variety of other characters who promise to bring their own drama and secrets to the tropical setting.
Filmed at the Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui and other locations across Phuket and Bangkok, the season looks set to deliver a biting exploration of privilege, identity, and mortality—complete with sharp humour and inevitable tragedy.
The White Lotus season three premieres 16 February on HBO in the US and 17 February on Binge in Australia.
