Following the teaser trailer released in March, the official trailer has now arrived for upcoming HBO limited series We Own This City, based on the true-story book by Baltimore Sun reporter Justin Fenton.

The six-episode series looks at the shocking rise and fall of the Baltimore Police Department’s Gun Trace Task Force, a team accused of robbing citizens, lying to investigators, filing false court paperwork, and more. The plot looks at various aspects of the case and highlights the bigger picture, relating to how questionable policies powering the war on drugs and a focus on mass arrest were championed at the expense of actual police work.

Quite the cast here, including Jon Bernthal, Wunmi Mosaku, Jamie Hector, McKinley Belcher III, Darrell Britt-Gibson, Josh Charles, Dagmara Domińczyk, Rob Brown, Don Harvey, David Corenswet, Larry Mitchell, Ian Duff, Delaney Williams, and Lucas Van Engen.

The series hails from executive producers David Simon and George Pelecanos, creator and producer, respectively, of the highly acclaimed series The Wire. All six episodes were directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, who recently helmed Will Smith film King Richard.

We Own This City will be hitting HBO in the U.S. on April 25th and Binge in Australia on April 26th.
