Take a look at the trailer that’s arrived for White Men Can’t Jump, a “modern retelling” of the ’92 film led by Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson.

In the lead roles this time are Sinqua Walls (Nanny) and rap star Jack Harlow, the latter making his movie debut. The plot follows once-promising player Kaman (Walls) and former star player Jeremy (Harlow), two opposites who will have to juggle tenuous relationships, financial pressures and internal struggles if they want to succeed – both on and off the court.

The film is directed by Calmatic, a music video director turned feature helmer who previously delivered this year’s comedy remake, House Party. The screenplay was penned by Kenya Barris (Girls Trip, Black-ish) and Doug Hall (Black-ish). Barris and Paul Hall produce, with Blake Griffin, Ryan Kalil, Noah Weinstein, Calmatic, Doug Hall, E. Brian Dobbins and James Powers attached as executive producers.

White Men Can’t Jump will be released in Australia on Disney+ (under the Star banner) and in the U.S. on Hulu on May 19th.
