The official trailer has arrived for Yellowjackets season 2, showcasing some highly enticing footage from the second chapter and driving it home with Florence + The Machine’s new single, “Just A Girl,” a cover of No Doubt’s ’95 hit.

Shauna (played by Melanie Lynskey and Sophie Nélisse), Natalie (Juliette Lewis and Sophie Thatcher), Misty (Christina Ricci and Sammi Hanratty) and Taissa (Tawny Cypress and Jasmin Savoy Brown) are still in the thick of it – in both the present and the past – in the second season of the Showtime series. As the official synopsis reads, things are about to get colder – in more ways than one.

The Yellowjackets barely made it through summer in the woods, but now as winter begins to bite, we’ll see if hunger and desperation turn into full-on psychosis. While there may or may not be a dark and powerful force inhabiting the wilderness, their survival could depend upon what they choose to believe. Meanwhile, twenty-five years later, each survivor must ask themselves – Is the darkness coming for them, or is it coming from them?

Among the new faces in chapter 2: Elijah Wood, playing a character named Walter. As Showtime describes him: “A very dedicated Citizen Detective who will challenge Misty in ways she won’t see coming.” Lauren Ambrose and Simone Kessell have also joined the cast as the adult versions of Van and Lottie.

Yellowjackets season 2 will be kicking off on Showtime in the U.S. on March 24th and Paramount+ in Australia on March 25th.
