A number of big trailers were dropped during the Super Bowl LVIII. Among them, the teaser trailer for the highly anticipated third Deadpool movie, which we now know has been officially titled DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE!
Watch the teaser trailer above and check out the first poster below.
This may be a teaser, but there’s an exciting amount of footage shown off nevertheless. We find out how exactly Ryan Reynolds‘ Merc with a Mouth gets involved with the extended Marvel Cinematic Universe in the first place: the TVA (Time Variance Authority), the organisation that Loki viewers will know well. Alas, no official film footage of Hugh Jackman‘s return as Wolverine yet; they’re keeping him for the official trailer drop no doubt.
The film is directed by Shawn Levy, the Stranger Things executive producer and director (of 8 eps) who previously directed Reynolds in Free Guy and The Adam Project, and Jackman in Real Steel. The screenplay comes from Levy, Reynolds, Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick (Deadpool, Deadpool 2), and Zeb Wells (Robot Chicken).
Deadpool & Wolverine, with a cast that also includes Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, and Matthew Macfadyen, will be in Australian and New Zealand cinemas on July 25th and U.S. cinemas on July 26th.
