A new trailer has just dropped for Horizon: An American Saga, a two-part epic western directed by, co-written by, and starring Kevin Costner. Watch it above.

The expansive narrative unfolds through a myriad of perspectives, providing both a large-scope and intimate look at the relentless challenges and profound intrigue of the frontier. The journey is fraught with peril with the merciless forces of nature, complex encounters with the indigenous peoples native to the land, and the relentless, often ruthless drive of settlers determined to tame the wild.

Costner previously directed 1990 Best Picture winner Dances with Wolves, 1997 post-apocalyptic adventure The Postman, and 2003 western Open Range. He starred in all three.

The large ensemble cast includes Sienna Miller, Sam Worthington, Jena Malone, Abbey Lee, Michael Rooker, Danny Huston, Luke Wilson, Isabelle Fuhrman, Jeff Fahey, Will Patton, Tatanka Means, Owen Crow Shoe, Ella Hunt, and Jamie Campbell Bower.

Variety reports that independent entertainment company K5 International has successfully sold distribution rights to most international markets, with only a few territories still available. Among the secured deals: Stan Entertainment for Australia, Tobis Film for German-speaking regions, Metropolitan Filmexport for France, Unicorn for Eastern Europe, and Falcon Films for the Middle East.

In the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, and the Netherlands, Warner Bros./New Line will handle the wide release of Horizon: An American Saga: Chapter 1 set for June 28 and Chapter 2 for August 16. In Australia, Madman Entertainment will be releasing Chapter 1 on July 4 and Chapter 2 on August 15.
