Take a look above at the newly released trailer that’s landed for Legends of the Condor Heroes: The Gallants, a martial arts epic from filmmaker Tsui Hark.
Known for his larger-than-life action and visually striking storytelling, the Detective Dee: Mystery of the Phantom Flame and Once Upon a Time in China director takes on one of Chinese literature’s most famous tales—Jin Yong’s The Legend of the Condor Heroes. Set during the Southern Song Dynasty, the film follows Guo Jing, a warrior who rises to defend Xiangyang as the Mongolian army, led by Genghis Khan, prepares to advance. With rival martial arts sects at odds and internal conflicts threatening their unity, Guo must navigate politics, honour, and his own growth as a fighter to stand against overwhelming odds.

Xiao Zhan (The Untamed) is in the lead as Guo Jing, with Zhuang Dafei, Leung Ka Fai Tony, Zhang Wenxin, Bayaertu, Alan, and Ada Choi rounding out the cast.
The film is already making waves in China, having pulled in major advance ticket sales ahead of its release on January 29. Sony Pictures International Productions is handling international rights, with the film set to hit Australian and New Zealand cinemas on 20 February and US cinemas on 21 February.
