Take a look above at the first trailer that’s arrived for upcoming drama The Iron Claw, telling the true story of a family of professional wrestlers, the Von Erich brothers.

Zac Efron, Jeremy Allen White and Harris Dickinson play the brothers – Kevin, Kerry and David, respectively – who made history in the intensely competitive world of professional wrestling in the early 1980s. The film looks at how, through tragedy and triumph, under the shadow of their domineering father and coach (played by Holt McCallany), the brothers sought larger-than-life immortality on the biggest stage in sports.

The powerful and well-performed-looking picture is directed and written by Sean Durkin, making his third feature film here following Martha Marcy May Marlene and The Nest. The cast also includes Maura Tierney, Stanley Simons, and Lily James.

The Iron Claw will be released in U.S. cinemas by A24 on December 22nd. Roadshow Films will release the film in Australian cinemas on January 18th, 2024.
