Sony Pictures has dropped a big final official trailer for Venom: The Last Dance, the third and potentially final instalment of the Venom trilogy. Take a look above.

Tom Hardy is back as Eddie Brock, the troubled journalist who shares his body with the alien symbiote, Venom. This time, the stakes are higher than ever, with both Eddie and Venom on the run from forces in both the human and alien worlds. As the net tightens around them, the duo must make a heart-wrenching decision that may conclude their story in an intense and emotional finale.

The trailer teases an emotional farewell to one of Marvel’s most iconic anti-heroes. We get a glimpse of the villainous Knull, a symbiote deity, determined to capture Venom. However, there’s a twist—part of Venom isn’t even in the same reality, as per the little symbiote glob he left behind in this Spider-Man: No Way Home post-credit scene. Could the stage be set for a multiverse collision? C’mon, it’s about time we get a final showdown with Spider-Man himself.

This marks the directorial debut for Kelly Marcel, who co-wrote the first Venom film and penned the sequel. She returns as screenwriter, with a story she crafted alongside Hardy. The film’s cast also includes Doctor Strange actor Chiwetel Ejiofor, Juno Temple (Ted Lasso), Rhys Ifans (Spider-Man: No Way Home), Peggy Lu, Alanna Ubach, and Stephen Graham (The Irishman).

Venom: The Last Dance, with Hardy also serving as a producer alongside Marcel, Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, and Hutch Parker, will be opening in cinemas around Australia on October 24th and and the US on October 25th.
