Victoria Justice and Robbie Amell (Upload) are set to lead the cast of Send A Scare, an upcoming horror-thriller from director Josh Trank.
The film follows a high-concept premise: an interactive horror startup that allows thrill-seekers to send personalised scares to their friends and family. Things take a dark turn during a demonstration for potential investors when a real masked killer infiltrates the event—bringing a deadly agenda that’s anything but entertainment. The screenplay was penned by Andrew Ryan and Josh Trank, working from an original story by Ryan.
Trank, who made his debut with the 2012 sci-fi hit Chronicle and later helmed 2015’s Fantastic Four and 2020’s Capone with Tom Hardy, is stepping back into genre territory with this one. Justice, soon to be seen in Suits LA, took to Instagram to share her excitement for the project, writing: “LFG!! I really can’t wait for this one 🤭🖤🙏🏼”.
