Timothée Chalamet and Taylor Russell are in love… and hungry for human meat.

A new trailer has arrived for Bones and All, an attention-grabbing new film from director Luca Guadagnino (Call Me by Your Name, Suspiria). The film is based on the 2015 novel by Camille DeAngelis and tells a story of first love between Maren (Russell), a young woman learning how to survive on the margins of society, and Lee (Chalamet), an intense and disenfranchised drifter. The two are also cannibals. They embark on a thousand-mile odyssey which takes them through the back roads, hidden passages and trap doors of Ronald Reagan’s America. But despite their best efforts, all roads lead back to their terrifying pasts and to a final stand that will determine whether their love can survive their otherness.

Bones and All has been receiving praise from critics on its festival run and there’s already award recognition, with Guadagnino winning Silver Lion for Best Director and Russell winning the Marcello Mastroianni Award for Best Young Actor or Actress at the 2022 Venice Film Festival. It certainly won’t be for all… tastes, but early word is very good indeed.

Also starring Michael Stuhlbarg (Call Me by Your Name), André Holland (Moonlight), Chloë Sevigny (American Horror Story), and Mark Rylance (Bridge of Spies), among others, Bones and All will open in U.S. cinemas on November 23rd (following a limited opening on November 18th) and arrives Australian cinemas on November 24th.
