Blumhouse’s ‘The Woman in the Yard’ Drops Eerie New Trailer Ahead of Release

A creepy new trailer has arrived for upcoming horror film The Woman in the Yard, directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (Carry-On, Jungle Cruise, The Shallows, Orphan). Take a look above and find out more below.

Previously set for release in January before being pulled to make way for Blumhouse’s Wolf Man, The Woman in the Yard is now creeping into U.S. cinemas this month. With its release fast approaching, an eerie new trailer has dropped, offering a deeper glimpse into what looks like a promising creepfest.

The first trailer hinted at the malevolence lurking within the story, showing a mysterious woman dressed in black appearing on a family’s lawn. This new trailer takes it further, showing more of the terror she brings and how she manipulates shadows and darkness to physically interact with the world around her.

The trailer also sheds more light on the plot. Has the mother, played by Danielle Deadwyler (Till, The Harder They Fall), been reaching out to something she shouldn’t have? A chilling voice suggests so: “You’ve been praying for me. Let me help you like you asked me to.”

Deadwyler, who also appeared in Collet-Serra’s Carry-On, serves as one of the film’s executive producers. Marking the feature debut of writer Sam Stefanak (F Is for Family), the film also stars Okwui Okpokwasili (The Exorcist: Believer, I Am Legend) and Russell Hornsby (The Hate U Give, Fences).

The Woman in the Yard will be haunting U.S. cinemas from March 28.
