First Trailer for Pixar’s ‘Hoppers’ Promises Chaos, Heart, and a Robotic Beaver

Pixar has released the official teaser trailer for Hoppers, an animated sci-fi comedy about a young woman who finds herself hopping — literally — into the animal world. Take a look above.

The film follows Mabel (voiced by Piper Curda), an enthusiastic animal lover who takes part in a scientific experiment that allows her consciousness to be transferred into a robotic animal. Using the new tech, Mabel becomes a beaver and quickly realises that communicating with animals brings more chaos than she expected. Cue fast-paced action, talking creatures, and a race to save a threatened habitat.

The film is directed by Daniel Chong, known for animated series We Bare Bears and who previously served as storyboard artist on Cars 2 and story artist on Pixar’s Inside Out.

“In Hoppers, the question we’re answering is: ‘What if we could understand and communicate with the animal world?’” said Chong in a statement. “Our main character, Mabel, gets to discover the animal kingdom as an animal, which can be weird and often hilarious. Mabel undercover in the animal world leads to a wild, roller coaster ride of a movie, with all the heart you expect from a classic Pixar film. It’s going to be so much fun to watch in the theater; I can’t wait for everyone to see it.”

Hoppers, with a cast that also includes Bobby Moynihan and Jon Hamm (voicing the town’s mayor), will be opening in Australian cinemas on March 5 and U.S. cinemas on March 6, 2026.
